The first day of the Artmania Festival in Sibiu was an unforgettable experience, filled with incredible performances from a diverse lineup of artists.
The Flower Kings kicked off the main stage with the perfect festival opener, setting the vibe for the entire evening.
Alpha Q delivered their usual performance, though I was hoping for something fresh and different for this festival. With three large screens at the small stage, some new projections could have really enhanced their set and storytelling.
Igorrr, a band I saw live for the first time, put on an intriguing show that kept me hooked. However, towards the end, it felt a bit repetitive with similar styles and melodies as their earlier tracks.
Lavina, the latest addition to the festival lineup, brought a powerful volume and an interesting performance. It was a bit odd seeing each band member dressed completely differently and randomly from the others. I’d love to see them in their own show to form a better opinion. Kudos to them for incorporating screen projections mid-performance, which significantly enhanced their show.
Satyricon closed the first day perfectly, leaving us all eagerly anticipating the next day of the festival
This year, the festival boasts two stages: the main stage and the secondary stage, aptly named “The Voice of People.”
In addition to the music, the main sponsors, Kaufland and Digi, have some fantastic activations. At the Kaufland booth, you can get temporary tattoos with stickers, while at the Digi area, you can play ping pong. Digi also had a cute idea of giving out balloons to the crowd, adding to the lively atmosphere and making it a kid-friendly festival perfect for our little metalheads.
